A Memorable Trip to Washington D.C. with Cypress Republicans

What an incredible three days we had at our nation’s Capital! A heartfelt thank you to Congressman Morgan Luttrell for the gracious invitation and for making this unforgettable experience possible.

Our adventure began with a visit and tour of the White House, where we marveled at the history and significance of each room. Walking through the halls where so many pivotal decisions have been made was truly inspiring.

Next, we explored the iconic monuments that pay tribute to the great leaders and moments of our nation’s past. From the solemn beauty of the Lincoln Memorial to the powerful presence of the Washington Monument, each site left us in awe of our country’s rich history.

The tour of the Capitol Building was a highlight, allowing us to witness the heart of American democracy in action. We were also deeply moved by our visit to the Holocaust Museum, a poignant reminder of the importance of remembering and learning from history. The Library of Congress and The Supreme Court were equally fascinating, offering us insights into the foundations of our legal and legislative systems.

Our trip culminated with the Congressional Baseball Game, where the Republicans secured a decisive victory with a score of 31-11, keeping their winning streak alive. Cheering for our team in the stands was a blast, and it was the perfect way to cap off our visit.

With over 13,000 steps a day, we certainly stayed active and engaged throughout our journey. We can’t wait to do it all again next year!

Thank you to everyone who made this trip possible and to all who joined us. It was a truly special experience that we will cherish forever.
